Explanations about the cost functions
Parameterised cost functions are provided under the menu item Examples of Modernisation for different common modernisation measures in residential buildings. This way, typical investment costs (full costs) and the typical share of energy-related additional costs can be determined. Since these cost functions represent average cost proportions and -structures, individually determined cost details may vary considerably in both directions.
These cost functions were empirically determined in course of studies by the “Institut Wohnen und Umwelt” (IWU, Darmstadt, Germany) on the basis of billing details from from about 1200 residential construction projects. The price level of the study is the 1st quarter of 2015. The study amends a prior work commissioned to IWU by BBSR and was funded through the BMUB Climate Initiative.
Planning costs are not taken into account in the cost functions.
