Table “Technical Lifetime”
The table “Technical Lifetime” provides for important components of building services as well as for windows default values of their technical lifetime and regular maintenance costs. The values are based on the 2014-04 draft of EN 15459. This European standard will provide the respective default values for further components in Annex D of the final version (due for publication in 2017).
Table “Annuity Factors”
The table “Annuity Factors” provides in dependence of interest rate and period under consideration so called annuity factors as supporting resource for the calculation methods “Annuity” and “Equivalent Energy Price”.
Table “Mean Value Factors”
The table “Mean Value Factors” provides mean value factors to take into account the future increase of energy prices. The values depend of the interest rate, the assumed yearly increase of energy prices and the period under consideration and support several calculation methods.
Table “Replacement Investment Factors”
For the purpose of taking into account the replacement investments occurring later in the period under consideration, the table „Replacement Investment Factors“ provides so called replacement investment factors foreseen to upscale the future investments costs. The factors depend of technical lifetime, period under consideration, inflation and interest rate.
Table „Examples for u-values of existing constructions“
To calculate the energy savings of measures concerning elements of the building shell it is also necessary to know the u-values of the initial state. The table provided below offers default values for typical constructions fount in the building stock. The characteristics of many regionally typical constructions should be determined preferably using the website www.altbaukonstruktionen.de (German language only).
Table „Expenditure factors for space heating systems“
Especially to calculate the energy savings of measures concerning elements of the building shell it is also necessary to know the expenditure factor for space heating of the heating system in question. The expenditure factor indicates how many units of energy (e. g. as natural gas) the heating system needs to supply one unit of energy to the heated space.
